I was born in Antalya, Turkey. I received the  M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Boğaziçi University in 2005 and 2015 respectively. From November 2014 to October 2016, I was a research engineer at NETAS Telecommunications. From October 2016 to January 2018, I was a postdoctoral researcher with the department of Image, Data and Signal Processing (IDS) at Télécom Paristech in Paris (France)  where I was working on speaker diarization, speaker recognition and respresentation learning for audio in the framework of the LASIE project.
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher with IRCAM working on automatic melody extraction in the framework of the Dig That Lick project.

Research Interests

My research interests include audio/music signal processing, bayesian and approximate inference, machine learning for signal processing and deep learning methods.
